Buras Law PLLC provides legal services in the areas of adult and juvenile criminal defense, including felonies, misdemeanors
and motions to revoke probation. We also represent clients in most civil matters, including but not limited to personal injury,
probate matters, family law, contracts and general business law.
A native Houstonian, Kevin Buras graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in economics and later earned
a law degree from South Texas College of Law where he was on the Law Review. He is licensed to practice in all state
courts in Texas, the United States District & Bankruptcy Courts- Southern District of Texas and the Fifth Circuit
Court of Appeals. Additionally, he is certified to mediate equal employment opportunity disputes within the Department of
Defense and other government agencies.
Earlier in his career, Kevin gained knowledge and experience while working as an intelligence analyst at a
United States Justice Department sponsored counter narcotics task force and then as a Galveston County prosecutor.
As a trial attorney and former prosecutor, Kevin has tried numerous cases resulting in favorable jury
verdicts.
He is a war veteran, having been awarded the Bronze Star Medal while serving a year in Afghanistan as an Army Operations
Officer in 2005
